but it feels like the people putting this together know very little about ...

I've been getting these calendars for years. Ever since Chronical Publishing took it over a few years ago, it's gone downhill. I know they specialize in animation books, but it feels like the people putting this together know very little about the subject. The last few years have had a bunch of mistakes. This year, they combined with Pixar. I'd rather just have Disney, but I'm okay with Pixar being included. What really saddened me was the few number of films they covered. Of the 54 Disney animated features, only 21 are shown (with 3 of those getting only 1 pic each). 38%?? For years it's been 80-100%. Most of my favorite films are NOT used at all including ALICE IN WONDERLAND, POCAHONTAS, ALADDIN, ROBIN HOOD, HERCULES, WINNIE THE POOH, TARZAN, MULAN, LILO & STITCH, HUNCHBACK, and so many more. It's just the same few movies over and over. Same thing for Pixar, only 8 of the 15 are used! Really sad to skip BUG'S LIFE and UP. Back in the day, when Andrews McMeel used to publish, they would recognize each film on it's anniversary date, which was a neat piece of trivia and a way to make sure every film got at least one page. They also had a lot more fun trivia and extra stuff like flip book pictures in the corner. This year, The quality of printing has also become very sloppy: a bunch of pages have black lines running through the pages, images and type are not lined up properly, or the pages were not cut from other pages. And the overall picture quality seems poor as well. It looks like they are cutting corners to make more money every where they can.
Andrews McMeel Publishing, if you're out there, please fight to get your contract back to publish next year's!

Disappointing print quality

Excited to see different Disney artwork everyday on my desk. I was expecting bright and brilliant colors with clarity, but very disappointed because a majority of the prints are very dark and/or grainy.

Cute calendar

I've gotten this calendar every year they've put it out (they've missed a year or two during the past 15 years). Some years they've had a little animation in the bottom right corner of each page that moves flip book style as you flip through the days...not this year. This year is the same as last year except it has Inside Out pictures in it.
