About the Author
Diane Stein is the bestselling author of more than two dozen books on spirituality, psychic techniques, metaphysics, healing and Reiki, natural remedies for people and pets, crystals and gemstones, and karma. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1948, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Education and English Literature from Duquesne University (1970) and a Master of Arts in English Literature from the University of Pittsburgh (1972). She has studied healing and psychic work for over 20 years. Many things to appreciate in this book

Diane Stein's 'Essential Reiki' is my reiki bible. I figured she would have good information in this recent book. I learned many new tools that are quite helpful, even something as simple as cleaning and taking care of and being grateful for what you have in order to attract prosperity into your life. She does use a lot of ritual and altar work, (due to her Wiccan and Magik background) which I find cumbersome, and has a tendency, in my opinion, to make things more complicated than they need to be. Her writing does not contain much joy, even though she talks about it. She still has quite a bit of anger toward the 'White Christian Male Establishment' which I feel holds her back somewhat in her ability to have a joyful experience. She also places limits on one's ability to manifest, but if you read this with discernment you will find gems that are worth having in your tool box.
For a truly revelatory book that goes right to the Source, or The Creator of All That Is, cuts out the 'middlemen', and simplifies healing and manifesting at the highest level, I recommend Vianna Stibal's book 'Theta Healing'. This book changed my life and my meditation practice. It is primarily written for those who work in the healing professions to use with others, but is also amazing to use her techniques on yourself.

Poor investment

Sadly, this is nothing more than a money grab. I really loved her Reiki book, which prompted me to purchase her second reiki book, and now this. Very poor investment in the later two. If you need someone to tell you on which days to do specific house chores, then this book is for you. If you don't know anything about clearing clutter and how to start, this book is for you. In all honesty I've only read the first half of the book and stopped because I was overwhelmingly disappointed. Save a tree and write me, I'll send you my copy for free, as it's creating clutter in my home.

Excellent book for beginners and experienced alike

I love all of Diane Stein's books. I would recommend this one to anyone having difficulty reconciling wanting prosperity with the New Age idea of not being concerned with money and other "worldly" matters. You can be enlightened without living in poverty.
